There is a very interesting part about London Bridge.
It has been destroyed and reconstructed so many times.
There are many version of London Bridge.
I was told that the version which related to this London Bridge rhymes is the old London bridge, made from woods.
Old London bridge is so famous that many people take advantage of its popularity. The merchants set up their shops along the bridge, causing the path to be narrowed.
There is an incident where the bridge caught on fire causing it to fall down. Later on it is re constructed.

The rest is history.

Responsibility

responsible is originated from the word respond.
Responsibility is a state of being responsible.

When you say some one is responsible, it shows that the person is able to respond.

Irresponsible person is not able to respond.
A dead body are not able to respond.
Thus, an irresponsible person is a dead body.

Simple logic.

A is for Angel

Madam A is one of my father's colleague.
I can describe her as very friendly, talkative, caring and sincere.
Last 2 weeks, we went to visit her.
She had a surgery. A successful one.
She is in recovery and staying at her home in Seremban.
Her hospitality is very good.
I would say it is very rare for me to meet people like her.
She is very detail and conscious when it comes to serving her guest.
We arrive at her house late in the evening.
Even though my father decline for a long stay, she made us have coffee with her.
What touch my heart is, how she treat her maid.
Her maid is not very clever.
But, she is very patience with her.
The goal is to make her learn how to do things.
You would not have that much patience when dealings with the maid.
She can hardly do anything right.
But Madam A is.

I see an angel that day.

Push! or Pull?

sometimes we need that push.
If not push, we might need the pull.
Push someone who is in static position so he can start moving action.
Pull someone who is totally helpless and already down.
Spread our love among our brothers, care for each other.

Looking at the mirror on the other side

have you ever looked at the mirror, from the other side?

usually, we look at the mirror and see ourself. we see how we look like. but, if we see the mirror from the other side, we can see the condition of the mirror.

mirror represent the people around us. the people around us will tell us how we look like. "you look handsome today" "nice dress" "where did you get your hair done?" "you are beautiful" "you look fat"

we only think about ourself.
have you ever cared if the mirror is dusty on its backside?
have you ever cared if the mirror is lying to you?
have you ever cared how you are being manipulated by the mirror?

Give and Take

nowadays, i see we tend to take rather than giving.
most of the time, we always ask, "what i get back in return".
my point is, why can't we do something without asking something for return?
we keep on taking but how much we have given?
if all of us are taking, who is going to give?
in the end, we end up taking what is not ours and do illegal things.

we must remember, sincerity is the key to happiness.

being sincere does not mean you get nothing back at all. being sincere mean your willingness to help without asking why should i help. once you make a good deed, there is a happiness, a good feeling that reliefs your self. this show how our innerself likes to help and giving.

taking others people rights wont make us feel happy. our innerself always feels the guilt and not happy. in the end, we put ourself into a very stressful situation that will eventually bring us down...

we need to prior ourself into giving as long as we are able to.

A sailor story

recently i met a friends, who is about to be a marine engineer. he is still studying, but already sailing around malaysia.

one of his story that interest me is about his experiences when he is newly admitted to the academy. one of his job is to check the engine room. once, his supervisor told him to enter the engine room, and look for 4 colored wires and tell him what colors they are. unfortunately, when he enters the room, all he can see are black wires. he went outside to meet his supervisor.

"what colors are they?"
"black, sir"
"are you stupid?" and a punch strike his stomach.
"go back in there!"

while containing his pain, he reenters the room and checked the wires again. now he realize that the wires are coverd with dust and dirt that makes it look black. after wiping the wires, he can see the color of the wires.

and he has learned a hard lesson.

Killing is my nature

One of the human nature is killing.
But, we kill on purpose.
One of that purpose is to feed ourselves.
Islam has put a very strict rule and procedure when killing.
We can kill an animal when we want to eat by slaughtering it on its throat, cutting the two breathing vanes [trachea and aesophagus] of the animal completely in the name of allah.
There is also types of animals that can be slaughtered to be eaten. Porks are forbidden, and other animals such as carnivores. Cows, Goat, chicken and other livestocks are those that can be slaughtered.

WE DO KILL! but we have limits.

We are connected to each other

we will find something in common somewhere.
if we give time to understand each other.
understand to be understood.
in someways, we are connected to each other.
but, we don't really pay attention to it.
and sometimes we just realize when it is too late...

R.I.P

Skin our heart

when two people get close, they will easily skin each others hearts. because each of our hearts are made with thorns around it. whenever it gets out of control, the first that will be thorned is the other heart because the sharp edge is so close between the two hearts. it is always balanced between those two, but once it is out of balance, it skins our hearts. sometimes it bleeds to deep that the other heart will be dead and never come back.

Keep it at a safe distance. unless you have all the necessities required to heal the other heart whenever you accidentally unintentionally touch it and skin the hearts of others.

Earth hour?

it is on the TV, on the newspapers and on the internet. and even instant messaging systems are flooded with it. what is this so called earth hour?

in my opinion, earth hour is like a JOKE. if we shutdown the power for just one hour, how that can really affect this world... because in the end, we keep on wasting energy the whole other 8759 hours.

and i ve been informed that concerts and many other wasting time, energy and money events are being conducted to promotes this so called earth hour. it is just another bluff created by some so called earth lover who are actually going to make more and more profits.

if you really love the earth you live in, save energy. dont waste energy on playing games, watching tv, switching on the light while u r not using it, using water heater, decrease ur phone usage, recycle recyclable items and many more.

i am just one person. and i dun support this.

Children, dont judge your parents

we are the children. we have no rights to judge our parents. especially our mother.
they are willing to brought us to this is world is enough reason for us to be thankful. it is a difficult task, carrying a baby inside your womb. it is even more difficult to deliver one. at the biggest challenge is bringing you up. all the dfficulties, worries and cries, does it worth it?

but, once we are able to stand on our feet, why we tend to judge our parents. we tend to search for our parents mistakes. we often blame our parents for our misfortunes.

as children, no matter how bad our parents are, they are still our parents. the bond will never be broken. and we always be the child of our parents.

Meet Uncle Rosly

ehehe.. this is not a new indie band... juz sharing some inspiring story...

since he is small, uncle Rosly live in a peacefull village. when he grow up, he was accepted to a high school. for your information, back in the 60s, all high schools medium of communication are english. but uncle rosly dont know how to speak english. the only english he know is THANK YOU...

at high school, there is a field of grass which has a sign "keep off the grass", not knowing the meaning of that sign, uncle rosly cross the field innocently. them the prefects arrest him. he was questioned in english. in his blurred situation, a friend told the prefects that he does not understand english at all. so he is saved.

this incident encourage him to learn english harder. each day, he read at least 1 book written by Enid Blyton. he uses the dictionary most of the time. after all the hardwork, he can understand english.

now, all of his hardwork had made him a succesful person. he was an engineer and now teaching children mathemathics, in english of course!

then what?

when u want to do something, ask yourself this...

after i do this, then what?

people always regret about their action, because they did not think thoroughly of their action.

for example, u want something. let say, a pair of new shoes. so you have decided which one you want. but you don't decide why you want it. you buy it, then what? you will regret it because it doesnt fit your lifestyle, u can hardly use it, and the money u used should be spent on somethings else more important.

they do think about something to overcome their existing problem... but they forget to think of it consequences... and most of the time, it is regrettable later...

and in my opinion that is why some people end up as criminal...

my friend is a very detailed person, he always thought of what happen if one action is taken. he will come up with lots of possibilities. and it always lead to a better solution. he is a total contradict of who am i. i take things simpler. i thought of a plan and hope it might work. well, most of the time, they are not.

so, this question is a method to avoid you from making bad decisions that you will regret for your whole life.

Mike and his worries

one thing that i like about mike is his thought. he thinks critically and knows a lot of thing. he has many resources.

this evening, i have a chat with him.
about the recession.

mike: about 10 thousands of people lost their job today... those who work as labor at the factory in penang. a bank manager told me. even the banking system is about to VSS, volunteer supression scheme to their employees.
me: so whats the problem?
mike: im worried that criminals rate will increase. people have no jobs, so how they are going to live? even the police wont do anything about it. it doesnt matter if we, the business man, made only 100 or 200 bucks a day, but the matter is, our safety is at cost you know. what would happen if someone kill us while robbing our shops?

do you understand?
when people have no job, they are tend to become violence. remember "fun with dick and jane" ? that is what would happen.

STOP IT!
